Hello and Welcome! :)

Welcome! You should check out the Player Registry (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/memberlist.php). I see that there are a couple of DMs in your area looking for players, including one that joined fairly recently. Your best bet it to start sending PMs to those GMs and to other players in the area as well. The more proactive you are, the more likely you are to find a group quickly.

Welcome to the community! For finding players the Player Registry (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/memberlist.php) is an invaluable tool and for recruiting players as a DM the Campaign Invitations (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17) forum is perfect. Please join us in on any of the various topics being discussed in the forums. For best results taking the initiative to contact players in your area should greatly increase your chances of finding others to game with. Many players are in groups that have openings but since they aren't the GM they don't go out of their way to recruit new players for the game. I wish you the best of luck in finding gaming bliss in the near future.

D&D has definitely kept me sane with 4 children and a grandchild! There is only one thing I find to be a better stress reliever, but that can lead to yet more children. ;)

There is only one thing I find to be a better stress reliever, but that can lead to yet more children. ;)Yeah going on vacation can lead to more children. You come back so relaxed, the next thing you know your at your local orphanage and adopting anything in sight. Definitely be careful of how much relaxation you achieve on a vacation. Remember too much of a good thing can lead to binge adopting. The threat is very real my friends ;)
