Check out this new article Wizards of the Coast posted recently:

Ask Wizards: 01/17/2008 (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/4ask/20080117a)

The community was asked for feedback on iconic image changes. Will there be some for each gender in each class, or will it be more limited? Can you talk about which ones (if any) have been announced?

I think he mistook "iconic" to mean the ICON series of Dragons. I think the question meant the image of some of the more popular creatures inhabiting the D&D game. Huh. Tire of painting? They should check out Games Workshop! :p

Tire of painting? They should check out Games Workshop! :pSpoken like somebody who knows. If painting mini's can be made an evil task, nobody does it better than Games Workshop

That said, I was really jonesin' to paint some terrain yesterday. I mean, sit down and do the whole board kinda thing.

Did you actually have any unpainted terrain? Unpainted mini's I can see most people having somewhere, but unpainted terrain is a whole new level of "painting is your friend" creepiness. Then again I'm the kinda freak that goes to Hobby Lobby and Michaels to look for felt, little trees, miniature people in the train set props section, and other goodies for creating custom BattleTech terrain. I'm not one for painting but I'm an arts and crafts kind of guy when wargames are concerned.

I'm a recovering creep. Now if I can't put it on a table and use it, I probably won't buy it. But still, the thoughts linger.... sweetly linger.... aaahhh.... sweet sweet foamboard....
