While I'm looking, perhaps others have books they'd like to locate which are difficult and that other members might be able to help with.

For example, from a collection standpoint, I'm looking for two Shadowrun Books:

10663 - Man and Machine
25009 - New Seattle

I have all the others. Heck, even a valid ISBN for either/both books would be helpful as it would make it easier for me to hunt for them.

Since Runner Havens has a lame description of Seattle, and since Catalyst has basically said that you need to have all the Seattle books to have a complete picture, I'd really like to have 25009.

10663 is really just to complete my collection. It sucks to have 133 of the 135 published English books :D

Those don't look like the FASA product numbers for the books. Are those Catalyst versions? Have you checked eBay yet?

Actually they're FanPro 3rd Edition books. 10663 is a reprint of FASA's 7126 book with updates and 25009 is a reprint of the earlier FanPro 10657 New Seattle book, again with updates.

I've been on e-bay, Noble Knights, Abebooks, and other sites hunting for those two. I've seen the _cover_ of 10663 on a couple of E-Bay listings for 25001 (the newer M&M) so I'm reasonably sure it's out. I just don't have the ISBN for a better search.

A FLGS owner searched his records and he showed a sale of 25009 in 2003 however some of the folks on Dumpshock aren't sure it was published. So I'm not sure one way or the other as to whether it's really printed. There is a PDF available of 25009 though :)

I found this listing (http://www.shadowrun.us/php/rulebooks.php) which lists the ISBN for 10663 is 3-89064-663-8. lists 25009's ISBN as 1555603424. That listing also links 25009 [url=http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1555603424/sww-20]on amazon (]This listing[/url).

:D That's my site (check my sig). The number was something I calculated based on the other books but it doesn't work when searching. It's possible that FanPro changed their ISBN numbering scheme at that time. The old way had the last three of the book in the ISBN (note 663) but newer ones didn't.

The 25009 ISBN is from the original FASA book. FASA owned the 1-55560 ISBN prefex. FanPro owned 3-89064 and then 1-932564 which is used for the last few of the 10xxx series and all the 25xxx series of books. Catalyst owns 0-9792047 and now 1-934857.

Yep, done my homework :D

I held on to my Shadowrun stuff (and other gear too) for quite some time. Last year when I started getting back in to it, I did a bunch of hunting around to find out which books were available. I hadn't intended on "collecting" but I found several deals and found myself with just about all the books.

I broke down the definition of "collector" a little so I wouldn't classify myself as one. While I _am_ collecting books, I'm also using them. At the time I'd intended on running a 3rd edition game and wanted to have all the books so I was prepared. When playing it with the group I'm in now, I realized that probably was unrealistic since 3 had been out for so long. So I picked up the 4th edition books and started running that.

I do enjoy the game but I wish the computer/matrix mechanics were a tad more realistic. I do house rule the attempts to be more in line with how I think things should be done.

I love a lot of elements of Shadowrun but from browsing through several of the books I still find it hard to imagine what a real game session would be like. Because of this I abandoned the system quite early in my research for PnP systems I wanted to try.

Both trollandtoad.com and stiggybaby.com have Man and Machine listed as in stock. As for New Seattle, I didn't see it.

Sorry, neither site have 10663. Both are 25001 :)

Thanks though for searching.
