I can't believe that people have such a problem keeping track of initiative. Pencils are amazing things, you can erase marks. Paper is amazing because you can write on it. Am I not getting something? I write a number next to each character on the same sheets of paper that I mark down the marching order, hp, ac, saves, important skills, feats, etc. .

Shutting up hasn't been a problem since I was a kid who played with kids.

The whole book keeping of spells and items on cards and such is ridiculous in my opinion. Rarely will I have a problem in that area, cheating players straighten up or leave. :cool:
Numbered bases is a good idea. It must be, because I have done it for years. ;)
