Anybody know of a quick dice program I could use while DMing on a lap top?

I uploaded one that I wrote some time ago that you can try. It is called the d20DiceRoller, but it will roll any type of die you want and in any combination. It will work best for a d20 game, but you could use it for others. What it doesn't do is automatically is count successes. Check it out though, it might work for what you are looking for.

It does require .NET 1.1, but most Windows XP machines or better have at least that version. Hope that helps.

Now, here's a tougher one:
Does anyone know of a dice roller (or random number generator) that persists/saves rolls for use in a PBP game?
For instance, I type something like "[d20]" and it comes up as 9 (or whatever) every time someone looks at the page?

The dice roller would have to be integrated into the message board for you to be able to trigger a roll with a bbcode and the result persist for all who view that post/thread. That would indeed be handy though for the PBP DM's. As far as regular dice rollers go there are countless to choose from. Just depends on what your interested in. There are simple command line rollers, overly complex rollers, rollers that simulate real world dice down to the weight and physics, GUI driven rollers, themed dice rollers, etc.... If your looking for something specific let me know and I'll see what I can track down for you. I was looking into them recently myself :p

Thanks! I like this one just fine.
