Let's take it easy on the drug references okay......there are potentially impressionable youths pursuing the threads.;)

So I guess the consensus is that Mitichlorians are the alien lifeforms to which they are referring. That is upsetting.

im not 100% sure on the wording but in episode one i believe Anikin is chosen for training by Quaigon (or however you spell this dudes name) because he has a high "Mitichlorian" count or energy or something dealing with that i think its supposed to deal being able to interact with the force again someone back me up on this

o and sorry for getting out of hand with that reference it was merely intended to cause giggling, laughter, sniggers, and painful memories for some

Mulsiphix
12-23-2007, 01:49 PM
Nope. Its a limited edition Demonic Transmogrification Kitten. Only five were handed out at GenCon this year. You let it wander well ahead of your party. When you hear blood curdling screams in the corridors ahead you simply camp for a few minutes and then continue on your way. Much like a mouse that finds its way through a maze to the cheese, the DTK will be drawn to the largest life force in the dungeon. Just remember to keep it a solid 20 feet ahead of your party. If you interrupt it during its feeding cycle it may very well expand its menu to one or more of your party members. When it is full or finishes mopping up the dungeon, it will return to your hands of its own free will. Don't let it just wander off though as it will seek the warmth of a strangers hands if it cannot easily find its master.

Back at GenCon 2006 they handed out chicks instead of kittens. My friend was lucky enough to receive one. It was extremely useful during our last Ptolus adventure in Shilukar's Lair. After we finished up we headed back to the Guildsman District where a street artist did a rendition of my friend and her chick. While not exactly a real world photo you can get an idea what one of these cute creatures look like after they've just finished dealing death to the poor inhabitants of your latest adventure.

They were thinking: "Oh man, shows with character development and far reaching ideas that inspire people to think don't creat mega-bucks. We need to put our efforts into mindless stupiddity, cheap laughs, and an utter lack of plot so people don't have to think at all. That way we can apeal to the genneral masses and quickly milk them of every dollar while they zone out in zombie mode watching the boob-tube. Pluss shows without any real substance are cheaper to make, since we don't have to take the effort to put any real substance in them."

Yeah, those can be obscure if one's not familiar with the sources (but quite appropriate~). All three involve Suzumiya Haruhi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haruhi_Suzumiya) characters, the middle mixes them with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tengen_toppa_gurren_lagann), and the last puts them in Evangelion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neon_Genesis_Evangelion_%28anime%29) roles. (Suzumiya Haruhi and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann are both crazy awesome ^_^ Evangelion, well, awesomely depressing :P)

Heh... Even with the ways that humans have created to rain down mass destruction, Adams did make the suggestion that we are mostly harmless in the scheme of things.

Got a lot of them from rpg.net's threads (http://forum.rpg.net/tags.php?tag=motivational+posters) and wiki section (http://wiki.rpg.net/index.php/Motivational_Posters:Main_Page).

Hahaha. You'd have to be REALLY high ranks in bluff for that to be true, but it can happen.

that's untrue. Sneak is where your ranks should go.

Particularly if your a rogue.

I'd have used a different pic, myself, yeah. Still, there is menace to it, in an 'in-joke' sorta way.

I used to love going into buildings like that as a kid, I once walked on the rafter of a long forgotten barn way back in the woods and it broke. I landed on my feet, no problem there ... except one of the feet landed on a very long nail that went through the foot and poked through the tennis shoe I was wearing by about an inch. That was the reason behind my firt tetanus shot.

In my high school days I used to take friends to old abandoned country houses, then try to convince them they were haunted and try to scare them. Once we were chased off a farmer's land where a supposed grave site was, by the farmer who was pointing a double barreled shotgun at us. We were plenty scared then!

Here's something interesting that I just noticed. Despite the popularity of the level-up thread and the word association thread, neither of which will probably ever be surpassed as far as number of posts, this thread has actually had more viewers than either of them! Just goes to show you that people love funny posters.

The thing is, with those threads there isn't much reason to bother with them unless you're posting for xp or playing the game. Much as I enjoy playing the word association, I wouldn't want to try and read it. And the level up thread is just one long conversation of small talk. If you're not going to jumo in, then there isn't any point in trying to keep up with it. But this thread has a solid theme that caries throughout, while at the same time alowing you to just jump in at any point and enjoy the posts. Most threads other serious threads require you to start reading at the begining so you can understand what point hte discussion is at. This thread is unique in that it has (semi)serious content, and you can still peruse and enjoy without having to read the whole thing if you don't want to.
