I used to play D&D and Magic back when I was in the Army and looking to kill time. Now I'm just looking to get back into D&D to get me out of the house every so often.

I also practice Renaissance Martial Arts, play chess, and ride my roadbike.

So, I've got to ask; What's up with the name Diaperlord? I get images of Riverdance wearing diapers and doing their fancy tapping and kicks. Lord of the Diaper Dance.

Other than that. Jump into the player registry and search out players in your area. I'm sure you can get lucky.

Welcome aboard.

I get this image of a guy Riverdancing while changing his kid's diaper.

Anyway, Hiya, you're a bit far from me, but there are still things to do not that far from your part of the state. Have a look around, and try to make it to Shevacon ( http://www.shevacon.org ) in February (I'll be there).

How did dancing enter your mind?

I use that because I spend much of my day dealing with my son's diapers. I even have to wash them since we're using cloth. It's my YouTube name too.

No luck in the registry, but you've got to start with someone. I'll probably just be trying to turn everyone on to using real swords.

Here's my son with my Albion Talhoffer, and me training with my plastic waster.

Plastic Waster?

You kill plastic?

Cute kid, careful he doesn't poke his eyes out.

You know Phishy, it's from Star Wars (ep4) when Vader was talking to one of the moff's about the force.

Yeah, jeez! I thought everybody on this forum would get that.:p

The plastic flexes more like steel, won't break, and is safer when getting hit than wood. It's sort of a progression from using homemade padded swords, to wasters, to blunt steel.

Oh, and training swords are called wasters. Possibly because with wood ones you tend to break them a good bit and don't mind 'wasting' them as opposed to steel.

Sorry, I'm terrible with quotes.
