Personally skill wise I'm fond of Occult, Animal Ken, empathy, academics, and investigation. And occasionally weapondry.
Attributes wise I favor dexterity, wits, intelligence, and composure.

Does Academics still offer Latin as a free language?
I've always been a big fan of language skills, but yeah, Occult skills are pretty valuable.

In Dark Ages it did, but "Academics" didn't transfer to Masquerade as a knowledge.
Most of Thaumaturgy and half of Obtenebration used Occult.

Oh ok, when we played, my GM allowed my linguistics professor Immortal to take Academics in Masquerade. I assumed it was part of the regular rules.

We ran a campaign from V/DA to V/M. Our ST allowed us to convert one dot to Latin, and the rest to Religion or a Science. There was no rule, it was up to the individual ST.

For attributes I like Composure and Strength, and skills in Pharmacology (medical), the sciences, and streetwise appeal to me the most.
