I like this concept: act quickly on your turn, get more immersion.

Let me point some fingers though: if the game grinds to a halt on a player's turn, it's not just the player's fault. The GM is at fault for allowing the game to stop (not skipping over the player), and the RPG is at fault - possibly for having complex rules, probably for using a turn-based system that allows the indecisive player to get all the attention.
