You can roll randomly for a result below, use the handy number provided with each entry to figure out your result on a d12. You can also pick the one that works for the area in which your characters currently linger.
d12. Curiosity

The air around the well is hot, and tiny fire elementals are dancing along the edge of the well.
The bucket for the well has teeth. It appears to like biting things, too.
A note pinned to the well reads: “You’d like to think this leads down into a cave system filled with treasure, wouldn’t you? Maybe it does. Maybe it instead leads you into the belly of the Lady Evangeline, a dragon who particularly loves gnomes.”
The water from the well is flowing upward out the well and into the air.
The well stones are actually books that tackle the subject of demonology and dark rituals best left undone.
You hear singing from inside the well that’s in a language that you don’t recognize at first but that suddenly becomes clear to you. (The PCs can no longer speak their native tongues until some condition is met. Instead they speak an ancient language of your choosing.)
Each stone of the well has an eye in it. They all blink at the same time.
Someone’s belongings are in the well’s water bucket, along with five goslings.
The light from the stars and moon above seems to stream downward from the sky above and into the well.
The ground around the well rumbles, and an extremely large bright red worm erupts from the well, arcs up into the air, and lands on the ground with a thud. It proceeds to wriggle off in a northwesterly direction.
The smell of roasted meat and fried onions drifts up from the well.A young human dressed in flowing robes sits on the well’s edge, looking down. “Seek you the waters of oblivion?” he asks in a melodic, gentle voice. His eyes are completely black when he looks up from the well./li>
