I have messaged a few (more than 2) of the admins and mods here and do not get an answer. So I was hoping my fellow users will be able to help:
what do I need to do to blog, upload files, and create group and game forums? I'm not sure if this is all paid or "contributor" status features. I was hoping to add to a game system that still has a following out there and could make a nice community here as tapestry has done well on this site.

I just usto don't see that happening when I have to wait around weeks at a time to get things going.
Anyhow, any answered to my actual question above would be greatly appreciated from me as I want to get things set up before I actually have to start cramming for finals in about a month.

thanks,
-Mac

let's see. if you are a paid contributor, you can start your own game forums / groups on the boards, iirc.

as far as uploading and blogging goes, you should be able to do that as a regular member, though there may be a post limit before that feature kicks in, i seem to recall something to that effect. 'course, i've been a non-paying member for a long time, so it's a bit tough for me to remember. even as a non-paying member i can blog and upload (limited amount and capped on max size). i cannot create my own game groups and sub-forums, and farcaster specifically is the one you need to contact for that. i would send both email and pm, sometimes rl gets in his way of getting back to us on the forums.

Basically what Nijineko said above is what I understand is what a regular member can do. As I have dial-up internet access, I haven't even tried to look at the upload feature. Some features have either post or time requirements or possibly both, before being able to access that feature. This is to keep the Spammers at bay as much as possible.

Not sure who all you sent a message to, but I did not recieve one from you. May not have actually got sent out for some reason. As for Farcaster, he gets many hundreds of emails and PMs daily, so it can take him some time to get through them all. You can always send a question to me and if I am not able to answer it myself, I will get it to the person that can.

@cplmac
Thanks. I figured as much from both of your responses, but I just wanted to see anyone had an actual definite answer. But, since I have some time on my hands and no other real place to go wit this stuff--my RP fetish... i mean hobby--then i guess I can wait it out and let everyone know when the features pop.

Thanks again for the help guys!

Blogging is a universal account feature here, as is uploading files to the Downloads section (but for general downloads for visitors to the site, not for ones specific to your game or campaign, unless you feel they qualify as suitable as things that a general visitor might find useful), and creating a Group, which will allow you to create a limited sub-group set of forums for that specific group. I believe creating a sub-forum in the MAIN site forums themselves is a paid feature, if the admin still even offers that.
