Are any of you using a tablet now when gaming (in person)?

I know there was a thread from a while ago regarding the plan to buy a tablet or not. Wondering if any of you have changed your mind and others how they are using a tablet to game?

I am playing around with the idea to write my game plans hidden on Obsidian Portal with links through out to source information such as characters, items, rules, etc. Then use the tablet on game night rather than a notebook. I am hoping this will reduce the search time for my bad memory. Thoughts?

edit: here's the link to the game on Obsidian Portal

i stick with my laptop, personally. though tablets are great for player map interfaces. ^^

One of the problems I find with a laptop is that I tend to stand A LOT when running a game. Laptop is tough for me to bend over to run and acts like a shield between me and the players which is something I want to avoid.

better positioning is one possibility, as is building or buying a stand for it to be on. (be that a full height positional stand, like a conductors music stand, or a table top one. you could position the full height stand off to the side so that it does not shield you, but is still easily available to you as you walk.

one of those laptops with the fold-over touch screen is another possibility, though that is a bit heavier than a tablet.
