View Full Version : What was that game called again...?

Hey folks, I could use a little help locating a game. I read about it once a while ago and I'm pretty sure it's called Perfect, but as you can imagine, googling "perfect tabletop rpg" is not producing any useful results. Here's what I remember about it:

The game is set in a society with strict class separations, indicated by the colors each class is allowed to wear. I think red was the highest class and brown was the lowest. Certain actions by your characters can elevate them in society, all of them restrictive, and all of them modeled after the behavior of a beloved, but totally batshit queen. Things like wearing gloves with the hands sewn together, or going to church X amount of times a day. Flowers aren't allowed to the lower classes, and a brown-level society member in possession of a red rose is considered a severe crime.

That's all I can remember. If anyone knows what game I'm talking about and can direct me to more information, that would be great.

Hi there

Its official name is Perfect (Unrevised), and it's by Joe Macdaldno, author of Monsterhearts, The Quiet Year and Ribbon Drive. Here (http://buriedwithoutceremony.com/perfect)'s a link to the relevant page on the author's website, and here (http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/15/15618.phtml)'s one to a review on rpg.net. I haven't played it myself but one of my gamer buddies has; it sounds like an RPG version of the movie Equilibrium, with a dusting of paranoia RPG.
