Who says that when you are creating a campaign or making a character for a game that you have to derive inspiration from sources within the same genre as the one that the game is set? There are many different avenues from which a good story or character can come from.

We talk about some of our favorite character and campaign ideas that can be adapted to any genre.

i hope you mentioned the classics... 'the magnificent seven' which completely ripped off most aspects of the original movie 'the seven samurai'. come to think of it, a lot of westerns and samurai flicks ripped off of each other.

not to mention movies like that one with steven segal, i think it was, the one where the bad guys took over a sub or ship with nukes or something... almost scene for scene the exact same sequence as the ancient ba'al cult fertility rituals.
