Monte Cook is releasing a new role playing game called Numenera. It is set in the way distant future (around one billion years). He has developed a new simplified rule system. The kickstarter campaign is in the last week, so if you want to get in on a great deal I would check it out soon. The Kickstarter Page. To find more out about his setting check out the Numenera webpage (http://www.numenera.com) for more information on the setting or specific on the rules you can view Monte Cook's Design Diaries (http://www.numenera.com/category/design-diaries/).

Also Monte Cook has released a short story on the campaign titled: The Amber Monolith (http://www.numenera.com/the-amber-monolith/)

Yes, I have heard of Numenera, the Story-Games folk are all over it. The idea is simple but engaging, and the artwork breath-taking. I can't wait to buy/play/run it!

Still reading through the core book myself, and thinking of stealing the world for my Basic Roleplaying campaign.

I like that the GM doesn't roll any dice in Numenera, and the game seems simple, which is always good!
