Play Times : 10 pm Atlantic, 9 EST start and goes until people get tired - Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.
Skull Horn Society -
Your Joining a world wide guild(Black Crow Mercenary Guild), fun adventure, interesting interaction, amazing puzzles, a mind field of traps, not just "hit, miss" hack n slash an of course mystery await you.
This is an important rule - (Scheduling issues should not be a problem here)The guilds uses a magical system to bring characters back to a guild branch or sends characters out into the field with a party. Meaning DM can bring players in an out of a session, you only need to show when you are in the mood to play. This means i can take on a large number of players but only DM 6 players per session.
Willing to take new players on who don't know how to play but wanna learn, I have created a walkthrough for newbies, i don't have the time to sit with each new person an walk them through the process hence why i made the effort to set something up that will help the new player an veteran player make a character an get into the game. I have cut 75% of the reading you would have to do if you tried to make a character directly out of the 2ed PHB.
I run campaign after campaign, if your level headed, humble to a point an can bring the effort needed on your end, then you would fit in here. My take on a "Persistent" world(Link to campaign information board - http://advanceddnd2edrevamp.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=worldhistory ).
Character Creation is very easy.
You will be sent a kit for the game with all needed on openrpg after you go check out the "Skull Horn Society" sub-board, there you will find out campaign/guild information you need to see before going to character creation.
A "Players Hand Book" is not needed, we have our own PHB for the "Skull Horn Society".

OpenRPG is a chat (http://advanceddnd2edrevamp.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=main&action=display&thread=236) program like mirc but way less chaotic, once you open the program you can browse the servers. There are only a few, each containing a lobby room plus created rooms by users.
On the left side of the program is and area for files(called nodes on openrpg), these files can be sent back an forth between users. Meaning DM can send you a characters sheet, you open the sheet an fill it in, send it back as if at the table passing your sheet to the DM.
You will also notice buttons(dice buttons), press for example a d6 an it will pop up in the chat room (http://advanceddnd2edrevamp.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=main&action=display&thread=236). When you sign into a server you go right into the lobby try not to roll dice there cause some people get annoyed an that can get you booted or banned from a server.

I use skype to DM, you may use text or even mic if you wish.
Seriously do not be afraid of skype, it's free for chatting between computers an you don't have to use mic, i don't allow cams to run either so no worries there.
You can simply talk in text form (http://advanceddnd2edrevamp.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=main&action=display&thread=236), all i ask is that you get on skype so you can hear me the DM.
If your shy about voice then relax cause that is not what is demanded here.

This is not 2ed by the book -
I created my own game borrowing rules from the ad&d 2ed core three books(dungeon masters guide, players hand book and monster manual). Taking the rules as is, adjusting them and skipping many others, i fill the gaps in with my own home made rules.
My game feels and plays out like most ad&d 2ed style games, my core game is a medieval fantasy based game called "Skull Horn Society".
We do tinker with "side games", other genres we like to run but do not put as much time in as we do the core game.
2ed books are a tool kit of rules for a dm to take as is, adjust or dismiss all together("DMs Choice") for your game.

I understand many don't wanna spend mountains of time reading if they ain't sure they wanna join something. I understand but! cannot help you beyond what i post here, i run long term campaign games an the information on this forum is needed before you step into play an that reading pays off for the long haul.
Some quick notes that may catch your interest enough to read whats beyond this post -
There are lots of spells for the casters to play with, rogues get lots of skills an warriors are specialized in almost all weapons without needing to spend extra to get those.
I have a hit point system that makes you much more bendy an less chance of things turning into a meat grinder(unless your a moron, some people even my rules cannot save).
At level 9 mages get a whole new set of spells to choose from you don't have to roll for(note they can gather spells before 9th level like any mage could). This guarantees mages won't lack spells by the time they hit 9th level.
Warriors & Rogues get kits at 9th level which gives them new abilities, powers an even spells.
I run low level an high level gaming easily, levels go up as far as 60 in my game. Because of the system i created with the guild, high an low level pcs can work together, low levels don't get out right killed an can actually aid the higher level pcs.
Leveling up in levels before level 10 doesn't take forever(i have a wide variety of ways to gather xp an give out max hp where i can). I am not scared of low or high level gaming so it allows me more freedom then some other DMs.
My game is a mix of power gaming an level headed game play, i think it covers both types. Also interaction, combat, puzzle solving, traps ect are all found here, i don't favor one style over another(such as interaction over combat or vice versa), i give what the situation calls for an we go from there.
If all this sounds appealing then dig into the rest of the information for the game. This is the best i can do for people frowning on lots of reading(There is not as much to read as you may think but a fair amount).
