Setting:
2015 Earth. Inspired by HP Lovecraft, Fringe, Supernatural, and my own twisted imagination and interpretation of the weird and bizarre horror fantasy. Starting characters will be students at the Miskatonic University in Arkham, Massachusetts.
Character Creation:
Humans only.
Age: 17-26
Point buy 32 points.
All characters must have at least a 16 in their starting class’s core ability. No ability can begin over 18
HP: Max roll at 1st level, and every level thereafter.
Occupations can be anything from part-time jobs, full-time jobs, an internship, or may even be a particular Major your character is training for. The occupation could also represent a club or extra curricular activity your character is a member. The wealth bonus from the Occupation does not change rather you are a student taking medical classes volunteering at a free clinic, or a student in college working at a private practice… your wealth bonus is the same. feel free to flesh out these details in your character background.
Equipment and Wealth Bonus:
Instead of rolling the 2d4 to determine your starting wealth you may elect to make it 5 (+ occupation, and feat).
Each rank in the Profession Skill increases your Wealth Bonus by +1 at character creation.
the price lists for modern equipment is completely out of date, no way a GPS should have a PDC of 17, it would be closer to 10. Any item you want your character to have, but feel strongly that it is over priced, feel free to send me a link of a real world item and its retailer's sale price (no ebay, unless you are actually buying a used item in which case i will assign certain defects to the item as i see fit, with in reason). I will use the following table to adjust the item's PDC.
Also, keep in mind that the PDC of an item represents more than the base value of the item. it includes maintenance, upkeep, monthly expenditures, and that the item is top of the line and should not fail you in the middle of use.
PDC
$ Item’s Price Range (Average Value)
2
$9 – $19 ($10)
3

25
$7990 – $8990 ($8875)
26
$9000 – $19 000 ($10 000)
While purchasing starting equipment, if you have to roll 1d6 to see how much you lose, just assume the result was a 3. this goes for each d6 you have to roll, so if you bought something 16 points higher than your wealth bonus you would lose 7 wealth bonus instead of the 1 + 2d6. (1 is because the DC is above 15, 2d6 because the DC is 16 or more above your Wealth Bonus)

I have a variety of of reference materials that i will use for my game. These include additional equipment, Talents, Feats, Advance Classes, Prestige Classes, and Spells (if anyone decides to go that route).
these sources include: Core Book, Urban Arcana, 22 Talent trees, Another 22 Talent trees, Talent tree compendium, Modern Player’s Companion 1 & 2, Modern Magic Companion 1 & 2, D20 Future, D20 Past and many more.
I will be adding these to my wiki at Obsidian Portal (http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/sedivore/wikis/main-page) as i get the chance, but feel free to ask me for any information you think you will need, i will supply this information to anyone that requests it.
