I ordered this book the moment it came out, and I have been very satisfied. The book is chuck full of new weapon and armor properties, including a lot of new +gp attributes. Some players may be ... less than thrilled with the re-balancing of certain items (ex. the Ring of Nine lives got the nerfing of its proverbial lives.) But, overall I think the items that were rebalanced sorely needed it.

The only thing that would have really knocked the ball out of the park would be if WotC had done a little revamping of the magic item creation system. I'm also not entirely sold on the whole augment crystals, which are a bit to reminiscent of MPOGs these days.

I bought it the day it came out as well. Since I live farther out then everyone else, I'm usually the one making the drive to games, but I'm also the one with all the books. This makes for a pain in the you know what when traveling from game to game. I will admit that my main love for the compendiums is less to haul around. I have only looked through this book a few times since I got it becuase our DM was in the steps of moving and now its my turn to move, so I haven't even played in about a month. When I get some free time, I will have to look it more over, but so far I love it.
