Hi Guys and Gals

I'm currently looking for a game that me and my brother can play 1 on 1.

As we are both very inexperienced, I having only played a few D&D 3e games when I was younger, and him having played nothing at all, I'm looking for something fairly uncomplicated.

Something with minimum pre-game setup would be great too.
We had tried playing D&D 4e through the Red Box, but I found the amount of planning in regards to creating characters, learning rules, crafting the actual adventure for one player, to be too time consuming.

I'm not looking for a specific kind rpg. Fantasy, Modern, Futuristic are all fine. Just something we can jump into and play 1 on 1 without reading a massive manual.....or writing one.

Thanks!

I am not in know when it comes to minimalistic games, but I can say that one of the easiest systems I have ever GM'd was the Storyteller system. I can't speak to the current state of the World of Darkness rules vs. what I was playing 15 years ago, but it might be worth checking out.

If you like simple rules and very short character creation try this: http://www.scribd.com/my_document_collections/2437481
