Why is there a wand of chain lightning in this adventure? And does anyone else think Carnevus demons are ridiculous?

A Wand of Chain Lightening? I bet the players love that one.

I was considering picking up this module after running my players through the upcoming Undermountain expedition, but I take it that you'd not recommend it?

Actually, the plot line is rather interesting. It just needs some work. The demon I mentioned, for example, is a CR:9 creature that has the ability to use two of its spell abilities per round as though quickening one and all its spells are automatically maximized. It also has the ability to perform a dispel magic each round as a counterspell if it doesn't cast two spells and it has superior multiweapon fighting. I found this rather ridiculous.
