It has now been 5 years since the robots effectively took control of the world. Vast areas remain irradiated, primarily centered on large manufacturing hubs. You find yourselves living in an underground shelter with other survivors. Your community numbers around 150 people. Conditions are livable but hardly ideal. Your food is grown in greenhouses lit with artificial light, supplemented by chickens kept and bred in underground coops, and your water comes in from having tapped into a distant municipal system. Above you is rural countryside; the only places in the U.S. that went largely untouched and that receive only very infrequent machine patrols are those distant from old urban centers. You've had little contact from the outside world in several months now, as it seems that the one pirate radio station that your radio could pick up has since been discovered by the machines and wiped out.

Last you heard, they didn't know much anyway. Rumors, mostly. Rumors that there were other groups in the surrounding area. Rumors that there were larget human strongholds out there, hidden underground and their locations kept secret. Rumors that a resistance was forming to fight the robots. Most of these things are laughed at in your group, not because they're impossible but because laughing at your situation makes it a little easier to handle.

And so your existence goes. It's not so bad, right? You're alive, and that's a lot more than a lot of people can, or can't as it were, say. You even go up top occasionally. Usually just to clean out the air intake vents, but you've managed to snag a rabbit or even a deer here and there. So yeah, life isn't so bad...but you often find yourself wondering if this is really a life.

Maybe those resistance groups are onto something after all.

So that's the pitch in narrative form. Basically, the characters are survivors of the robot uprising living in a bunker in rural Arkansas. The campaign would begin there and move on, with the sort of "end goal" being that they become involved in man retaking their world.

Modern-day with some advanced tech, Savage Worlds powered with additional material from the Sci-fi toolkit and such as necessary.

Once there are enough players, we will approach character creation using the Group Template as outlined in Fear the Boot episode 2 (http://www.feartheboot.com/ftb/index.php/archives/14) (skip to 19:05 for the pertinent discussion) to help ensure a functioning party and to help toward a long running game.

Prefer sane, socially well adjusted gamers with good hygiene and sense of humor. Hate to have to mention it, but you know the stereotypes exist for a reason. ;)
