View Full Version : Supers! Character Sheets

Hey folks,

I spent the day devising a character sheet for my Supers! game. You can download them here:

You can preview them below. Go ahead and give me feedback if you see fit. I didn't know what to put on the bottom, so I put in 3 panels, and will encourage my players to use them to sketch out a scene involving their character. :-)

The overall design is very nice, very clean.

Two thoughts:

1. The biggie: those blank boxes need to go--you can replace them by simply making all of the boxes for game information taller/full of more lines for data. Right now I would have to break out my scientific pencil and use my smallest handwriting to fill out the sheet. I'd give all of the boxes more room to breathe vertically. Alternately, you could add a space for entering one's origin.

2. The comics font for the four resistances is at odds with both the very nice all-caps font you use elsewhere inside the boxes and the italicized comics font you use for each box header. I'd reformat the resistances in one of those two fonts.

Overall, though, an excellent job as I said at the start.

Hi M.C.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree with you about those blank boxes. I'll try to get rid of them by making the data boxes wider vertically as you suggest. I only put them in because I didn't want to make the power section unnecessarily long, and I didn't realize that folks might be lacking for space for handwriting. I myself tend to write really small all the time, so its not something that occurred to me. :-)

I'll try to work on it sometime today and then repost.

Howdy folks,

I redid the character sheet based on Maltese Changelings' feedback. I'm much happier with it. Here are the new links:

And here are some more previews.

Cool. I just want to reiterate that I think the overall effect of the sheets is a clean, elegant one. Some of us just have fat fingers.

(Of course, a form-fillable option would be the bomb as well.)

Oops, didn't realize that you had already done the updates. Those are very nice, and I will be definitely be using them.

One last nit-picky thing: when I d/l the sheets, the PDF displays as two pages. One is the sheet proper, the other looks like the blank page overspill you get with an errant extra carriage return in a Word document. I could just print p. 1 of the PDF each time, but it would be ideal to have a sheet that didn't print out this way.

Hi M.C.

Thanks again for the commends and feedback. About a form fillable version - send a PM to aregalado@palmertrinity.org and I'll be happy to pass along the excel file that I used to create the character sheet. It's not much, mind you, but at least you can input data.
