Aiming for a West Marches-y game with an emphasis on exploration. I'm not really sure how to fit that into the Combat vs Roleplaying scale.

I'm aiming for a stable of 8 players or so but the West Marches format is designed for the assumption that not every player will make every session.

My houserules are designed to allow a bit of character customization --- any 2 fighters will be a little bit different and not just in their stats (unlike 3E, where any 2 fighters are greatly different). Another aim of the houserules is to introduce a simple skill system and a few 3Eisms like ascending armor class and the F/R/W saves.

I am interested. My only caveat, which throws one piece of the West Marches style out the window: I am only available on Friday evenings and would like a game with some consistent Friday night game times.

I tried this via PM, but I don't see the PMs in my Sent folder, so I'll repost it here:

I've created a Yahoo Group southern_shore for the campaign . I've asked all the interested parties to sign up there and use that space to talk about scheduling. I'm pretty open other than Sundays and Mondays, so it mostly depends on the players -- and there doesn't have to be a single fixed time, either. Giasrhen, the schedule hasn't been decided...so if you're interested, head on over to the yahoo group and talk with the other players. I'll run whenever there's a quorum of players and I'm not otherwise booked.

That said, Friday looks pretty promising at this point.
