A week has past and the crew of the Wendigo have been laying low at the Planet Glee Anselm (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Glee_Anselm). Local news has the heroes being wanted for questioning by the Kel Dor authorities regarding a stolen cargo ship. No mention is made by official Empire channels of the incident.

Inquiries into Doctor Kelnar Natharn, lead researcher at the Hanna Institute of Antiquities (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hanna_Institute_of_Antiquities), they discover he was one of many archeologist looking to the site on planet known as Icon 3. The Empire had cut the funding to most unknown region space exploration and recalled all research teams back to the core worlds. While most of the archeological teams made it off the planet, his team continued for some time on the site until it lost all communication. The Empire has pulled all funding and refused requests from the institute to look for him.

Kelnar Natharn has over two decades experience researching Jedi and sith artifacts for the institute and the Jedi Academy (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_academy). He has written various papers on his discoveries. He severed ties with the Jedi Academy regarding several controversial theories he placed regarding the origins of the Jedi and their philosophy. Dr. Natharn was criticized as being more of a Xenoarchaeologist (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Xenoarchaeologist) (the study of vanished off-world or alien cultures through the scientific analysis of the artifacts left behind) rather than a pure archeologist interested in Jedi history alone. Doctor Natharn was obsessed in discovering artifacts left by Celestials (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Celestials) or the Architects within Jedi archives. He believed the force was another Celestial creation, a tool used by these ancient beings to construct the universe. Where Natharn began to gain friction from the Jedi Council (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_Council) was there was no difference between the light side and the dark side of the force. This angered many Jedi council members who banned him from the Jedi Archives on Courscant. (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_Archives)

After discovering the location of Icon 3, the heroes travel to the remote planet in the Unknown Region. Upon entering the system they hear a faint distress signal broadcasted from the station. They discover the Space Elevator Icon station has been sealed and abandon. Stephanie attempts to enter the station through one of the access ports and reestablish power to the systems. While walking on the outside of the station she encounters a space suited humanoid also outside the station. From the looks of the suit she can tell it is non functional and the form advances towards her. She manages to jump off the station just as a black tentacle erupts from its hand to grab her. Fefar turns the Wendigo's Laser cannons on the target and destroys, splattering its remains all over the ship.

Feeling safe, Stephanie finds an access to the ship by phasing through the bulkheads and enters to try reactivate the reactor. The crew of the Wendigo however realize that the strange creature is not destroyed and has entered the ship. Crew members aboard become infected by the creature and begin to sabatoge and attack the crew. Cassi and Valen rush to the engineering room to try and secure the engineering section while Uson, Ishi, and Fefar are attacked on the command bridge. The foul creature causes mayhem as the two groups fight the strange creature, which mocks them and recognizes the Jedi aboard.Srtepjahnie realizes through the force that that the creature exists simultaneously in different places; on the Wendigo, in the Icon Station, and on the surface of the planet. Uson manages to start a conversation with it as it pummels the heroes. Ishis, in a final desperate act impales her light saber into the creature, it makes a foul howl and disintegrates all of its manifestations. Uson learns through his converstaion that the creature was known as Mnggal-Mnggal. (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mnggal-Mnggal)

With the threat removed, the heroes manage to reactivate the station and after a scavenging mission where they find several artifacts, they descend down the space elevator to the Icon Base.
