View Full Version : Gunslingers of the Round Table (Tri-Stat DX) [PbC]

I'm recruiting on behalf of my GM for a low-magic Western in which we'd be playing the good guys. We'll start out with just 50 points, but character development happens fast in this game.

Game times will be Mondays (time to be decided once a group is established) via OpenRPG.

From the GM:

I am wanting to run a Knights of the Round Table game, except set it in the Old West time period. Starting off, it would be normal people of the era until the group learns of their destiny and whatnot, and then would quickly raise beyond that of normal men.

Everyone would start off as a gunslinger (of any race/sex/religion) but would need to be of the mentality to start off with that the land is a dangerous place with no real law for people to look up to, so you take the law into your own hands. If you remember the tales of the knights of camelot, they were in it for the glory. But, while they were in it for the glory, their actions were tempered by chivalry and honor. I.E. you see someone in trouble you help them, you see a woman in trouble, you help them, you never back down from a fight/duel. Should rarely, if ever, be afraid or doubt yourself and your abilities (like, you would always try something, even if your strength is nowhere near high enough to actually do it). Protecting your fellow group members (will need to look at the Defending Others rules on page 68, I except that you will get a lot of mileage out of them). And so on.

I'm thinking 50 point Tri-Stat characters, ran on Mondays. No Special Attacks or anything that a normal person would not have (at least, at first). Guns, armor, weapons, ect. would all have to be purchased through the Gadgets attribute (except for horses, no need to purchase them).

Anyone else interested?
