Had this idea a few hours ago fitting a warforged or other similarly construct or manufactured race. I know Warforged aren't the most popular race ever, but I like them and they fit into just about any campaign that's had a war with a slightly advanced civilization, or a heavy construct using alliance. Here's my idea that I won't get to use for a while so if anyone has any use for it feel free to take it.
"Forty too" is about the unluckiest thing this Warforged has ever heard. Having been created with a very minor defunct causing him to feel twitchy and compulsive, "Forty-Too" was selected to be scrapped for raw materials and made into probably a sword or set of breastplate. His designated number was AE-040, and when they listed the numbers of defunct Warforged to be scrapped his number was called last...
"AE-Twelve, AE-Eighteen, AE-Twenty-Four, AE-Thirty, and Thirty-Six."
"That's only five, the ledger said six to be decomissioned."
"Oh sorry, and Forty too."
The scrappers had mistakenly thought "Forty too" for "Forty-two" and scrapped the perfectly functional Warforged instead. AE-040 played it off as though he didn't know and adopted AE-042 as his number. Even representing it all through the last war. When he gained his freedom he took a moment to shove in the faces of his superiors their mistake, and point out the number of Warforged who could be living independant now had their rules on a perfect war machine not been so strict. Rather than go public, the creaters granted "Forty-Too" with a good home and enough gear to explore, as was his life dream.
