View Full Version : Best combat mount

I'm just wondering what people think here, both in the strongest mount within reason as well as their personal favorite to use. I've only started playing and am trying to figure out an interesting mount to use.

I was looking for of all things a bull, but I think it doesn't exist, which seems weird considering bull rush does. Am I wrong, and I just can't find it?

Yeah anyway, either way what are good ideas?

Hafling-Druid Fleshraker Animal Companion. Horribly overpowered. ;)

Old thread but I'll throw in my two cents anyways.

Drakkensteed from Dragon Magic, very cool.

Here's your bull:

Is an Abyssal Basilisk within reason?

The best mount, from a pragmatic perspective, is the toughest one that will let you sit on its back without biting your leg off.

In the old 2e rules my mage used to use Polymorph Other all the time to make interesting mounts. Flying mounts are always useful but riding an Ogre into battle would strike fear in any opposition heart.
