I'm looking to get an L5R tabletop game going in the Pasadena/LA area.
We have a possible location but the group needs a GM.
Version is up to the GM.
Schedule to be decided once we get a group together.
Anyone interested?

when are you looking to play and how many players do you have?

Ideally, I think we could try for once a week, but biweekly will probably be more workable.
Right now, I have only myself but this thread is only a day old so others may come.
Are you interested as a player or a GM?

im definately interested as a player. while I have a lot of the new books and some of the older ones I really dont know the system well enough to run it. especially the spellcaster aspect. I am interested in playing a kuni witch-hunter shukunja. since I work on every other saturday and am trying to get a d&d game bi-monthly on the saturdays that i dont then friday nites or sundays would work best for me. its possible that I may be able to get one more player if you can cobble togather a group. my number is 626-673-6630

I talked with my friend chris and he's also interested depending on the day and
version. he and I both have a lot of the 3rd ed books so not really looking for a
4e game. though 1e is backwards compatabile with 3rd. that made no sence but
expressed the thought. ideally we both are looking for a game with 4-6 people
including the GM.
so any luck finding other players? L5R is a great game but there are not a ron of
people out here that seem to play it. let me know how it goes

So it looks like we have four or five current players (including myself)
We're still short a GM.

did you ever figure out who is going to run, what day and what edition?

We have probably four players currently but no GM.
Date and version depends on the aggregate availability of all of the players and the GM.

Good news, I have managed to lay hands on a new copy of the Fourth Edition core book. Beautiful piece, great artwork, not sure about the mechanics.

so does that mean that you plan to run L5R 4e? or just borrow ideas from the book? i looked the book over and i liked what they did with the kuni. I didnt have the chance to look at all of it and dont own the 4e book
so any word on when this game is gonna start?

I think we'll be using that book.
It'll start once we find a GM. I have three other people who want to play plus myself but there is no GM. That's our only hangup at this point is just no GM.
