Check out this new article from the Daily Illuminator that Steve Jackson Games posted:

July 12, 2010: Double-Barrelled Blast From The Past (http://www.sjgames.com/ill/archives.html?m=July&y=2010&d=12)

One bright spot is checking out e23 (http://e23.sjgames.com)'s most recent uploads. (I'm not saying you should do this at the office, to abuse the extra-large pipe you have there, but if you do, it would make a certain amount of sense. Who wants to pull down PDFs with your home network, especially if you're still using *shudder* dial-up?)</p>

This week, we've got two classics. First, from the minds of Michael Schiffer, Craig Neumeier and Kenneth Hite, we present GURPS Classic: Alternate Earths 2 (http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/altearths2/). A half-dozen worlds are detailed within, diverging from our own timeline in interesting ways.</p>

And for the follow-up, nostalgia fans and historians get Space Gamer #29 (http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=SJG30-2329)! What was new in July 1980? With reviews, a short story with stats for The Fantasy Trip and AD&D, and an overview of gaming magazines of the time, this PDF contains all the ads as they were originally presented. I know the majority of the products advertised are long out of print, but for me, the old ads are the number one reason I seek out the magazines of yesteryear. And now that digital versions are being released, it's saving me a bundle in eBay bids!</p>
