Curious as to what House/Clan - well let's just say affiliation everyone prefers:
-Mine - I like(d) the St.Ives Compact

I always used to love the Star League, but I've fallen out of love with them. My favorite unit is the 4th Regimental Combat Team (Eridani Light Horse).

Mercenary Scum - good choice!
Except they are now again part of the Star League - so did you really change ;)

Nope, the new Star League lasted for only a few years then went defunct. ELH ended up being destroyed.

No, I think they are still around in MWDA. Will have to get back to you on that.

At the outbreak of the Jihad (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Jihad), the 21st Striker and 19th Cavalry regiments were based at Fortress Dieron, the 71st Light Horse regiment had taken station at Huntress (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Huntress), and the 151st Light Horse regiment was on its way back to the Inner Sphere after serving as the SLDF garrison on Huntress.
The 21st Striker and 19th Cavalry regiments were trapped on Dieron by a Word of Blake blockade. The 71st were cut off and alone in the Clan Homeworlds, and faced Trials of Possession from many Clans. The 151st had stopped at Columbus (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Columbus) on their way back to the Inner Sphere. While the 151st was there, the planet was subjected to orbital bombardment from Blakist forces and every member of the 151st was killed.[13] (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Eridani_Light_Horse#cite_note-12)
The 71st Light Horse regiment fared the best of all the ELH units. Colonel Sandra Barclay received a challenge from the Clan Goliath Scorpion (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Clan_Goliath_Scorpion) commander on Huntress for the Lootera complex and all the troops stationed there. Unlike the previous trials the 71st fought, this time they were defeated.[14] (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Eridani_Light_Horse#cite_note-13) According to an after action report, the Scorpions didn't follow zellbrigen (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Zellbrigen) in their trial with the Light Horse, which may explain the 71st's defeat. How many ELH bondsmen were taken by the Scorpions is unknown.
It is known that the ELH ultimately survived the Jihad, joining Devlin Stone (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Devlin_Stone)'s coalition and taking part in the defeat of the Blakists.[ (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Eridani_Light_Horse#cite_note-14)

I am so far behind in what's going on in the BT Universe it isn't even funny, but here is my attempt-Clan Wolf under Khan Ulric Kerensky (I think he is dead now but I am not sure).

Well, yes, if you are right up to where MWDA is then so is everyone else - well pretty much everyone else (Sun Tzu is frozen). But, the neat thing about Battletech is you can play anytime "time" you want. So, yes while Ulric is dead and Natasha is dead and Phelan is dead and... ;) you can play with them still alive!
Good choice by the way. Spoiler alert --> I also like the fact that Clan Wolf in Exile lead by Phelan and Ranna make a nice addition to the Kell Hounds - well sort of. They later fight side by side.
