View Full Version : Romance of a Fallen Country

This is a chat-based campaign that began late last year. Once unified as a single kingdom, the island of Istao has been composed of a patchwork of warring fiefdoms for generations. The players are emissaries from one of the most advanced principalities, striving to salvage what they can out of the growing chaos while confronting threats from the half-forgotten past.

At this time, Romance of a Fallen Country has only two confirmed players so there is room for expansion. Participants are encouraged to commit to an ongoing game that tries to meet semi-monthly on Saturdays at 3:30 pm Pacific Time.

For more information, please see the Istao game thread here: http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/showthread.php/12102-Istao-game and especially post #12.

You are welcome to ask any questions on that thread.

Please note that I am recruiting specifically for the "Quest Adventures." However, anyone who joins the Quest is also welcome to participate in the ongoing "Mission Adventures."

With the first quest now complete and the game taking a break for the next few weeks, this is an excellent time for a new player to join the campaign and still have some time to get acquainted with the setting and flesh out a character. We have three players right now and would welcome one or two more, but a sense of commitment is important. Reluctance to commit to an unfamiliar game is understandable; if you are curious about what playing in the Unquiet Lands is like, please sign up for one or two sessions of the Istao Mission Adventures (MapTool, 1st level characters) or The Order of the Green Lion (P&PG Chat, 5th level characters) chat games before making up your mind.

This is a 4th edition D&D game. Players start as 1st level characters using races and classes from the Player's Handbook or Player's Handbook 2. Access to the full text of the 4th edition D&D Player's Handbook 1 is required.
