I've been looking through various books in order to find a class that casts the same spells as druids, but doesn't bother with all that wildshape stuff.

Basically, I'm looking for something that says something along the lines of: "...casts spells from the druid's spell list." This is because I want to use the spell compendium as well as PH.

I have already seen the Spirit Shaman from the Complete Divine, but the daily spell choice mechanics are annoying.

Thank you in advance for any help that may be offered.

You can look into a druid variant as their is not many Wizard books which have a Druid casting spell list. Unearth arcana has Wildshape Variant Aspect of Nature which allows them to take one or more aspects of nature.

Other than that, you will have to go to 3rd party books or create your own.

I suspected as much.

Thank you for the insight.

I know it is a kludge but you could play a cleric with nature-oriented domains.

You could make a magical hippie, that is basically what a druid is anyway.

If you do make a Druid, name it Ralph Nader

No no, name them River or Flower or something. As a last name Happiness, middle name Sunshine.
