Has anyone ever played KULT rpg? What are your experiences.

I've heard good things and it has had some bad publicity in the news as well. Has anyone ever played it? What are your thoughts? Feel free to be wordy with your reviews.

Thanks. Here's a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kult -and another- http://www.google.com/search?q=kult+rpg&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

What share you?

It was awhile ago but I recall thinking the idea was good but the mechanics were not so hot.

I've played it a few times.
As a player I found myself thinking it was so-so, but in retrospect that was most likely due to particularly uninteresting scenarios - Which could happen in any rule setting.

Now that me and a friend are about to GM a scenario together in Kult, I've started reading the rule book myself, and I must say - It's really looking better.

They have short storys exemplifying the rules in the book, and their general definition of life and death (and the illusion) in the Kult gameworld opens up for alot of improvisation.

The dark concept and the focus on madness and illusion makes this a winner in my book.

It had certain flaws, mainly its rules seemed a bit jerky. I loved the setting and with a good ST it could certainly be a fun game. I will say it is a mature sort of game, with concepts and imagery that should be reserved for more advanced troupes and players.
