Hi all,

why on earth is the prereq for the feat Improved Critital still an BAB of +8 ? .... it's such a mediocre feat.

I'm not sure why. I guess not enough screamed loud enough to Paizo to make it easier to get. Although doubling your crit threat range can be
awesome if using the right weapon. (preferably one with an 18 - 20 threat range to start)

Improved critical is not a mediocre feat. It's a very heft damage boost for warrior-type classes, who should be wielding 18-20 or x4 crit range weapons at that level, and turning your falchion or kukris into 15-20 crit weapons is a major boost, if you can keep your accuracy high.

However, I will agree that the +8 BAB requirement, as well as the fact that it doesn't stack with keen extremely silly. Keen is worth LESS if you already have improved critical, not more! Personally, I'd change the BAB requirement to +6, which makes it come into play at roughly the same level Keen Edge does.
