Check out this new article Catalyst Game Labs posted on Tuesday 12-29-2009 05:35 PM:

Shadowrun, 20th Anniversary Edition Reprint Available! (http://www.shadowrun4.com/wordpress/2009/12/shadowrun-20th-anniversary-edition-reprint-available/)

The second printing of Shadowrun Fourth Edition, 20th Anniversary Edition (http://www.shadowrun4.com/products/product.php?i=2600&m=cat) is shipping through distributors and into stores now. Reprints typically don’t have street dates, so we can’t guarantee when your local stores will have it.

The holidays are usually a little zany regarding shipping times (and of course, retailers are hopefully very busy!) so they may not yet be aware that the reprint is available. Be kind and let them know!

There are no changes from the first printing in this reprint.

They didn't anticipate the demand for the new 20th Anniversary book and a bunch of on-line places ran out. I know of three of the local places that had a copy the last time I checked (Sunday for the closest FLGS).

Surprising, not surprising and great news all at the same time. The one time I met a couple guys from Catalyst I tried to convey the importance of an Anniversary book (didn't have to be rules per say, Seattle could have worked) but I don't think I articulated it well enough. I know several people who are running 2e or 3e games who have bought the Anniversary book just to put on the shelf and they are not collectors. I wouldn't be shocked if they have similar problems with Seattle 2072 once word gets out you can use it for your 1e-3e game.
