You are part of the 7th Division of the ODST. You are part of an elite squad known as the Orbital Shock Drop Troopers. It is your job to do everything the others guys can't or won't. You are more than Marines. You are ODST.

The 7th division is the most highly recognized and well known of the ODST. Nicknamed 'Helljumpers' for their motto: "We jump feet first into hell." referring to their use of HEV's or Human Entry Vehicles, which are basically one man pods that plummet from space onto the planet. As you can guess, they are not the most reliable, but they are quick, quiet, and carry everything you need. What's life without a little danger?

As an ODST you have an arsenal to choose from.

Troopers can choose one:

MA5C ICWS Assault Rifle. At 32 rounds per clip, and a high rate of fire, this is the staple gun for any Marine. It packs a punch, and is fairly accurate at close to medium range.

BR55HB Battle Rifle Another work horse for any Marine, the Battle Rifle. It has a 36 round clip and fires a three round burst. It is very powerful, and is effective at medium to long ranges.

M7/Caseless Submachine Gun The M7 is a fully automatic, gas-operated, magazine-fed, short range sidearm. It has a 60 round clip with an extremely high rate of fire. As such, it has earned the highly appropriate nickname "Bullet Hose." Another feature of the M7 is the ability to attach a suppressor on the weapon, allowing Special Operations and Espionage to be performed more stealthily.

SRS99D-S2 AM Sniper Rifle This Anti-Matériel Sniper Rifle has one of the most advanced ammunition types available to the ODST. It has a four round clip with a fairly slow rate of fire and a large recoil, but does tremendous damage, often dropping targets in one shot. It has the added bonus of being the longest ranged weapon in the ODST armory.

Close: 1 Near: 1D6 Far: 1D6 (plus can be used outside of combat to 'soften em up')

Corporals can choose one:

MA5C ICWS Assault Rifle (as above)

BR55HB Battle Rifle (as above)

M41 SSR MAV/AW Rocket Launcher (Nicknames the SPNKr or 'Jackhammer') Holds 2 HEAT (High Explosive Anti Tank) missiles that are accurate at extreme range. Man-portable, shoulder-fired with an electronic scope with single 2X level of magnification, it is effective at most ranges. It houses a dual-barrel design that allows two consecutive rockets to be fired before reloading is necessary. IT is effective again vehicles and infantry alike.

(Note: This weapon is like the grenades. Anyone who is in Close range with the enemy, and fails a roll, takes a wound. Even if it's you!)

Plus, for free

M6H Magnum Sidearm is semi-automatic, recoil-operated, magazine-fed pistol, firing SAPHE (Semi-Armor Piercing-High Explosion) rounds from a 12-round magazine. Fired accurately in semi-automatic mode, it can be a powerful anti-personnel and anti-vehicle weapon.

Weapons that become available later:

M90A Shotgun The shotgun is one of the most powerful close ranged weapons available. It has a 6 shell capacity, but is fairly decent and medium ranges. In close range though, the weapon shines.

M7057/Defoliant Projector is a standard chemical flamethrower, which projects and ignites a stream of a volatile, semi-liquid fuel. Flamethrowers are cumbersome and relatively difficult to use. The shock and awe of a flaming stream of liquid though is often worth it.

Weapon/Anti-Vehicle Model 6 Grindell/Galileian Nonlinear Rifle (Spartan Laser) The M6 Spartan Laser is a shoulder-fired directed energy weapon used by the ODST. It fires an extremely powerful red laser capable of destroying vehicles and infantry with one accurate strike. When the trigger is pulled, a red targeting laser is painted onto the impact zone. The Spartan Laser will charge for three seconds before firing its powerful and destructive burst. It is capable of passing through multiple targets and reaches great lengths.

Special: It will instant kill any creature or vehicle, regardless of armor or reduced damage.
