Hi all, I'm trying to make a rockabilly roadtrip zombie survival horror RPG - using the rules from the Modern D20 rulebook.

And I'm in a lack of a few things - so I was hoping that some of you guys in here can help me.

I'm needing:

Profiles on:
Cars from the late 40s & mid 50s, including Cadillac & Hotrod types.
Weapons from the late 40s & mid 50s, all kinds.

Some ideas for the scenario itself:
I took some inspiration from George A. Romero's - of the dead series.
As well as some insperation from Capcom Resident Evil/Biohazard Series (RE/Bio - 1,2 & 3 only).

Do anyone of you, have some cool ideas for some plots or anything - please feel free to add them as well.

Hope you can help me - Cheers all :hippie:

Well, regarding the profiles, I would suggest Wikipedia or googling for car/ gun websites.
How about trying to recreate that zombie movie by Quentin Tarantino. Just imagine Rose McGowan with a Tommy-Gun instead of an M4 :o

Eh. Just about any zombie movie will work ;) Mix the stories you heard of Al Capone with Evil Dead 1, and there you go.

If I had some time I love to try it out as well. I play a soldier in Dark's and its fun as hell. If you allow lurkers I love to be an observer.

You might also want to look at the Spycraft 2.0 (http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product_info.php?products_id=12001&it=1&filters=0_0_0&manufacturers_id=341&affiliate_id=175850) game as a launching point, especially since they have recently announced a compatibility license for it. I haven't looked into it much, but it does have some information on vehicles which could give you some ideas of how to proceed.

Perhaps a stupid question or I'm just Captain Obvious, but have you seen Zombieland? Might spark some ideas for your game..

Not to sound unoriginal but I would recommend taking some samples from the Left 4 Dead (2) zombies. That game is popular for a reason...

Because there are no first person shooters that are zombie related.

On the other note.

You might want to consider different zombie types

1) Standard zombie: who crawled out of the grave (slow type)
2) Broken zombie: who has no legs, broken bones in legs and so on. (slower type)
3) Just turned zombie: The type of zombie who just turned from human to zombie. They will be fast react to sound for over 500 meters and they can sprint to their target a lot faster then other kinds

hope that helps

Just saying....

Why not take some Call of Cthulhu rules or flavor? CoC was set for 1920's right? (put in question form to show my lack of will in looking it up for myself...)
