I've recently downloaded the free PDF of JAGS Revised, and it appears to be a very effective system, if perhaps mildly overcomplicated in some respects (at first glance, anyway).

I was wondering if anyone's played with it here, and if so, what they thought of it. I want to try it out no matter what. I'd just like some feedback on it before I give it a shot. I'm thinking I'd like to run a steampunk game with it (although I'm not sure how much tweaking that will require).

I have JAGS, but have never played it. It seems good on paper, kind of a GURPS / BRP hybrid. I like the division of "Character Points" and "Archetype Points" for "powers". I also like the bell curve and result distribution created by (essentially) 4d6-4. The "values over 20 for opposed rolls" business seems a little awkward on paper the way he writes it, but honestly I think it's much simpler than he makes it sound.

If you want to try something online (either pbp or vtt) I'd actually be interested in a playtest run.
