Hi, Dallas-area folk.

As I posted previously, you and yours are invited to two casual get-togethers at the Trinity Hall Pub at Mockingbird Station in Dallas. We'll be talking about games and checking the place out to see if it's suitable in the future for gaming.

I posted two events on the community calendar (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/calendar.php?c=1). Feel free to RSVP by using the calendar (event-links 1-2 below), by posting at this thread, or by PMing me here at P&PG.

1). The first event is set for Monday, Aug. 3 at 7:30 PM until roughly 10:00 PM. (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=4023&day=2009-8-3&c=1)

Mockingbird Station itself is a large outdoor mall and residential facility, wedged between the local DART light-rail station, E. Mockingbird Lane, and highway 75 (MAP #1) (http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=trinity+hall+dallas+texas&fb=1&split=1&gl=us&cid=0,0,12615655193987086315&ei=8uN0SuvKLYvwMayMmbEM&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=image&resnum=1). It might also help to know that Mockingbird Ln., where Mockingbird Station is located, is the same exit from 75 as Southern Methodist University; SMU is on the west side of 75, whereas Mockingbird Station is on the east side.

The pub is located at the northeast corner of Mockingbird Station (MAP #2) (http://www.mockingbirdstation.com/interactive_map.aspx?link=comm), upstairs next to the Angelika Theater. There is a giant underground parking complex with plenty of free parking.

Lastly, since Monday night at the Trinity Hall may be filled with poker players, I will get to the pub early enough to put a little sign on our table that will read, "P&PG".

Okay, I put in my RSVP. And, oh yeah, great maps Tamburlain. If I can't find the place using these maps I need to be severely beaten with a large stick!

(btw, if I see anyone sitting at a table with a sign reading P&PG and holding a large stick, I'm outta there.:biggrin:)

Hi, everyone.

If you are thinking of joining us Monday evening (tomorrow) at 7:30 PM for some game chit-chat at Trinity Hall, please remember to RSVP. Even if you can only give me a 'maybe', that's better than nothing as I am working to figure out how large a table we will need.

Hi, everyone.

I Just checked the mail from this AM, and I've gotten 4 cancellations for tonight (not including the one I got from my wife! ha ha!). I think that it would be best, all things considered, if we simply reschedule going forward. I'm not sure I want to risk driving up tonight if it's just going to be me. (Cue sad country and western song with reference to beer and lack of game conversation...)

Seriously, just because tonight's a wash doesn't mean I've given up yet. ;)

Honestly, this sounds like a fun idea to me. Count me in for next week (the 24th), IF we're still doing it. (I saw the initial post mentioned only the 4th and the 10th...)

Oh, I should add that I generally drink like a girl - meaning that I'll probably be drinking Schmirnoff Ice. Feel free to harass me about this - most of my friends do. Just thought I'd give you the heads up. ;)

Ha, no problem! To each his own. As for the date, there will definitely be another get-together at the pub, but the specifics are yet to be set. We're looking at the first or second Monday of September.
