A friend and I ran a wild and wooly game of Doctor Who with Sea Devils, Silurians, Cybermen, and Daleks invading an undersea mining base. I would be lying to say the scenario went off flawlessly but hopefully some folks had fun in the process of slaughtering the base defenders and saying "Exterminate!" a little bit.

The board was about 3 1/2' by 7' split into two levels. There was a ton of cutting and gluing to get this thing put together but I think the results turned out pretty decent.

Base defender got around 7 minutes to set up impromptu defenses. Basically I stepped outside and had a smoke while they assembled barrels, and crates to block the passages. I about freaked when I saw what they had done as I REALLY didn't think I'd cut out that many crates and glued them together.

Guiness for Strength as I always endorse alcohol abuse during wargaming.

We've got to break through THAT defense????

Sea Devils begin their assault on the top floor while the Daleks and Cybermen have to push through the heavily defended lower level.

The Daleks take on the defenders and come out victorious in short order as the Doctor (Davison he's my favorite) sits on his duff and suggests the defenders attack the Daleks in hand to hand combat. (Bad rolls for the Doctor's alien weakness breakthrough).

The Cybermen were... pretty peaceful really and I didn't get any pictures of them unfortunately.

And lastly, my favorite Sea Devils that I pushed to have included cause I just loved painting them up. Unfortunately they were plagued by horrible rolls the entire game and weren't nearly as menacing as they should have been.

We'll be running this again at other cons eventually but it was a pretty decent time for the first outing with the Dr. Who miniatures rules.

Where did you get the terrain? You said cutting and glueing, so I'm guessing it's card stock. But I don't recognize it.

The gubbins and bits were from various free sites and added into it. The thing took about three weeks of free time to get together as it just ended up a lot larger than we anticipated. It was supposed to be a four person job but ended up falling on the shoulders of myself and the other game master.

Hey Skunkape, you should recognize the stuff. Stones Edge recently merged with World Works. They are the ones who designed my Watchtower http://www.stones-edges.com/fantasy/watchtower . And World Works Games, well, you know them. ;)
