Great work out there CaptainShar... you've definitely got the harder job dealing with Dimitri.

Heh, thanks. I'm definitely not a "face man" type IRL, so it's fun trying it in character.
Who is everyone, anyway? I know Borodeva and our estimable DM Wizarddog... but is anyone else from the Savage Tides game?
07-04-2009, 05:17 AM
Shar, Rob is there, but I dunno about anyone else.

I'm just a guy up in Seattle who found the site online and thought it'd be fun to play a PBP game again. I played in couple 3-4 years ago, then got back into in-person games with friends up here when 4.0 came out. After struggling through the first module for that, I've found my self in the anti-4.0 camp

This is going to get interesting... I have a feeling those guards are going to be quite a handful. No offense if Hooper doesn't run down to get into the middle of things... a few of us might be able to squeeze out of this in one piece.

Fighting is what I do best. Looks like you guys may need some help. Here comes the cavalry...
Who votes for minimizing bloodshed in the coming fight?
And who just says "screw it, kill 'em!"?
I've got Sleep and also a neat little 2d6 fiery burst that can probably hit both guards at once once they rush Blake and Cissinei.

I can do some mind blasts from a distance if necessary; what I really want to do is for us to knock out or kill the two guards who saw you guys, for everyone else to run away, and then for me to summon a construct that the reinforcements can see, so they don't suspect us.
07-17-2009, 04:33 AM
Right on, Shar, sounds like a plan. If Rob can soften up the unwounded guard I might be able to drop one or both with my fiery burst as I exit the house.

What are we going to do about heals now that we don't have a cleric?
I could possibly take the "life" mantle next level, instead of one that was going to make me sneakier... but I don't really want to.
07-30-2009, 11:27 PM
Er, don't get hurt? LOL, seriously I don't know that there's much we can do for healing. Maybe just buy potions once we have access to magic. If anyone multiclasses into something that has Cure Light on their spell list (Ranger, etc.) then we can pool our money and buy a wand of cure light. Other than that, I suggest we try to use primarily tactics that involve subterfuge, stealth, conversation, and ranged attacks from cover.

Hey team -
I'll be travelling for two weeks, returning on the 16th. I'm definitely enjoying the game and hoping I can pick back up upon return! Hooper is at your disposal once you decide on any action that might involve traps, locks, or sneaking!

Have fun on your trip!

Hey guys - I'm back. I'll try and re-insert myself somewhere. Looks like you've made some progress!
08-17-2009, 10:22 PM
Welcome back. Had a good trip?
08-18-2009, 12:59 PM
Right on! We could use some help. I'm about to pimp slap some hos!
08-18-2009, 11:53 PM
Hooper can be with the current group, holding back with Blake at the alley entrance.

hey guys - i'm sorry i haven't jumped back in yet. I've been catching up with work, etc since my return and just trying to get the energy to get back into things. I'll try and get back in in the next couple of days.

I might be a little sporadic in posting as I am working at a variety of Preschool sites and working on assignments.

so you said there were some physical changes when I put on the gauntlet and helm and what not. Has anyone noticed this to me. Also is there any kind of marking to identifiy the items?
01-28-2011, 02:07 AM
It was mostly flavor text. It is up to you if you feel you change when you place the items on. The Change in you is more from what has "interacted" with you rather than the items you hold.
01-28-2011, 10:11 AM
woo hoo 3rd level. do you roll for HP or do I?
01-28-2011, 09:20 PM
take the above average. So a d12 is 7, d10 is 6, d8 is 5, d6 is 4, and a d4 is 3.
