Recently we have had a number of plugs in the media, especially with the new collaboration between Obsidian Portal and Pen & Paper Games. So, I thought I would create this thread as a collection of links to the various articles -- as a celebration and as gratitude for the much appreciated free publicity. If you find an article/blog/podcast that isn't mentioned here, let me know. :)

John gives Pen & Paper Games an awesome plug in the podcast, "To Go Boldly"
- To Go Boldly (http://thechronicrift.podomatic.com/entry/2009-05-21T05_46_24-07_00) (~ 11:55 minutes). John S. Drew, The Chronic Rift Podcast. May 20, 2009.

"The great thing about this site is that you can search for games, but you can also register your gaming preferences, location, and schedule, and the site will inform you when games pop up which meet your criteria. After less than a week on the site, I've received almost a dozen pings of new games or gamers in my area. Pretty nifty!"
- Finding Victims (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dusg/2009June) by Stephen Radney-MacFarland, Dungeon Magazine #167. June 3, 2009.

"Thanks to Obsidian Portal and Pen & Paper Games, your lonely days may be overó now thereís a bigger pool to play in. With Obsidian Portal holding on as the leader in online Campaign Management and Pen & Paper Games being the number one site for finding new players and groups they really canít go wrong."
- Are You a Lonely Gamer? (http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2009/06/are-you-a-lonely-gamer/) by Robert Sandlan, Geekdad Blog @ Wired.com. June 23, 2009.

Anything that broadens and deepens the pool of gamers. This IS the perfect medium for geeky gamers.

if anything this broadening might bring in the occasional gamers as well. Occasional gamers can be highly valuable to the growth of the RPG industry. A fresh take on our hobby.

Always wanted a one-stop shop to find fellow gamers. Thanks to Farcaster and P&PG for giving us just that shop.

This is totally awesome! I have been bragging to all my non-gamer friends that we are in Wired magazine! They are quite impressed!

Good job!

I had no idea that P&PG was that welll known. This will certainly make a lot of people want to drop by more and more which is a good thing. I will certainly remember to mention this to my group.

Yes, be sure to have the rest of your group join. Be sure to have them note that you steered them all here. Actually, it was because of this site that we were able to form the Monroeville Tsojcanth group. By the looks of things, there is a good chance that we will see 10,000 members by the next anniversary of Farcaster's beloved site.

It seems there are more and more people signing up daily lately! Like every day the number of people that sign up almost doubles. We're multiplying fast!
