Many good bands on here though I should note that their are some solo artists on the list so does that qualify?

Time to throw out some great bands from north of the Border.
Great Big Sea
Moxy Fruvous (disbanded)
The Clumsy Lovers

Some American lesser known groups that should be famous
JT and the Clouds
Goober and the Peas (disbanded)

And since there are 2 of them they classify as a band
The White Stripes

I got pretty far down before I saw Pink Floyd, made me nervous. There is going to be a tribute band here in town towards the end of the month, and I have to go to RI for that weekend so we can spend Memrorial Day with my in-laws. I might jump out of the movig vehicle on the way.

Ok let me add a couple

Pink Floyd of course
Savatage
Killers
They Might Be Giants
Depeche Mode
Iron Madien
Manowar (excellent D&D music)
Aerosmith
Bob Seager

for a partial list

I was stunned when I heard the news. I was on my way to work at about 5:30 and passed another guy coming out of the office that I knew was another metalhead and told him. I think he took it harder than I did.

What ever happened to "My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult"?

They still tour, and they still suck live after all these years...

Just like every other "over-produced in the studio" band I've seen.

Panthro82

I thought I saw someone saying they don't like Audioslave! They are old school, kick ass rock and roll. I feel like the bands mother in the sense that I am thinking, "How can anyone not like Audioslave? Why doesn't everyone love them? Whats not to love?"

Sascha
05-17-2009, 03:27 PM
Never found Audioslave to be as good as it coulda been; somehow the gestalt didn't quite make it to the surface. Maybe one or two songs, but on the whole, not so much.

agoraderek

Tom Morello was completely wasted in Audioslave. LA thrash and Seattle grunge should never be married again.

Panthro82
05-18-2009, 02:35 AM
nah I dont think he was wasted. I think he evolved. Some beautiful things he created in some of his understated playing in some of the songs(listen to #1 Zero and tell me hes wasted!). I think he realized that he didnt have to go all out on every song like he did in RATM. My all-time favorite band is RATM, and I loved Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog. I honestly think Audioslave was a brilliant collaboration while it lasted and produced some trully beautiful music.
