The whole fire thing is hard to explain, it's not a combustion like you would be familiar with, more of form change accompanied by a fireball.

Personally I think it's a holiday that's more secular and therefore doesn't cause as much controversy. It's a "safe" holiday. It seems like every Christmas there's someone complaining.

"We've always had the nativity in the town square."

"We don't want to take it away, we just want you to include our celebratory images. Either everyone can participate or no one should. I pay for the city park just as much as you do."

Add in a bunch of geeks and it becomes a way to show your technical prowess, something you can't really do for Christmas. Heck, Halloween is getting to that point now with all the cool stuff you can buy to get your house set up vs going out and digging up your own skeleton (so to speak :) ).

Gotta say I totally disagree here. I liked T-3. I thought it was a clever way to end it and the chase scene is one of the best evaaar.

And while I like Summer Glau (and don't forget about Lena Headey) The Sarah Conner Chronicles are one of the most jacked up pieces of trash to ever ruin a franchise.

One of the games I was supposed to have today appears to not be happening, as the guy who organized it hasn't been on the site since October 22, and I have no other means of contacting them. Guess real life got too busy.

Still got my Saturday game, even if I have to give the DM bus money. Also DM'ing a game Sunday, I hope.

Got two exams today, though. Ah, the balance of the universe.

If you know nothing or near nothing when it comes to remote viewing, then you may enjoy it, but for me, not so much. It would be fair to say that this flick was 'inspired' by military psychic spies. BTW, George Clooney stole the show. Damn hilarious man, he is.

I've always wondered, since a Phoenix leaves behind the ashes of its former self, where does the matter that comprises its new form come from?

On another matter, I couldnt find where Tesral pulled the quote of Toths about "mortality-immortality" But I have a rebuttal. Since death is part of the natural cycle of all known things, even the earth, and ultimately the universe itself, is it not actually you and your undead bretheren that have usurped the natural order and truly fallen out of sync with the mother?

Just got done watching a 1990 remake of a 60's undead movie. It was nothing to write home about.

It was, and almost scene for scene-even the flash of the naked dead chick walking towards the house-but i think they called it the Return of the Living Dead. I don't recall. IMO, the 60's version was better.

Return of the living dead was the comedy remake.
Night of the living dead was the original...and yes, it was better than the reboot!
Both movies featured a naked woman walking in a cemetary....but in return of the living dead...she had pink hair....in night of the living dead it was an autopsy scar?

Just got home from class. We had our second group presentation today and there was a camcorder present for, in the teacher's own words, her "amusement." So yeah ... there's a record of me hamming it up in Japanese.

I think I'll go die now :P (I did make the TA laugh at one of the alcohol-related lines, though. Yay~)

Listening to Type O Negative....
Damn, do these guys sound depressed or what?
How did these poor b#st#rds ever get thru an album without topping themselves off?
Its like everytime one of their songs is about to end....I am certain the next sound to greet my ears is gonna be a 2 part harmony of double ought buckshot!

Okay, then it was the reboot (Night of the Living Dead, 1990) i viewed for there was nothing funny about it. No pink-haired girls in this one, sadly.

I can Detect Evil on tesral, being a Paladin.

Then I can do morally questionable things to him, as I am also Grey Guard :)

If memory serves...the pink haired woman in Return of the Living Dead (part I only) was Linnea Quigley.
She comments on how she'd hate to be pawed to death by old people then gets naked in a cemetary during an undead epidemic....sure...whatever....shes naked...my suspension of disbelief is no longer an issue....but couldn't they have kept her alive and naked just a lil bit longer?
(as opposed to dead and naked.....and hungry....not to mention messy....like seriously, can someone get Miss Quigley a wetnap and some purell.....she's butt nekkid....clean her up a bit....jeez)
One awesome thing to come out of Return of the Living dead was the lead single by 45 Grave "Party Time".....that song is pretty gruesome when you actually listen too it....even more gruesome than zombies munchin' down on Linnea in a mud puddle.

another night at work. Things are quiet so far which is good because my other job is getting crazy. I can tell the "Silly Season" has started. The rude, snappy people are starting to shop. Do me a favor people, be nice to us retail workers. We will get enough crap dumped on us by everyone else.

Just watching Last Man standing & Extreme Predjudice
Have no idea which one is really faster...but it looks pretty much certain that Powers Booth can't outrun a 45ACP round.
for some crazy reason...he actually thought he could pull it off.
Funny....most of the cast of Last Man Standing thought they could outrun a 45 too.

Your honor....I submit for the courts consideration that the leading cause of death in Texmex shoot-em-up's is NOT lead poisoning.....BUT.....is in fact Ry Cooder!
YES ITS TRUE.....RY COODER KILLS MORE HENCHMEN YEARLY THAN CANCER.
