Normally I would say this isn't warranted for this game, but you never know.

One question I have is would I get more participation if it was 3.5 D&D vs. 4e?

I wonder if you could run a game using characters from multiple systems? Not just 3.x or 4e D&D but anything from the fantasy genre. Say Warhammer, Palladium, Exalted, BRP or whatever. It would.......certainly be interesting and add some variety, but I don't know if you could pull it off.

RP, yes, mechanically, it would be nigh impossible. The basis of balance is so different in each system. Minus a magic item, the atk bonus for a basic atk for the character I posted would be +26 to hit for 4e and it would be +19 for 3.5.

But if someone wants to try, this is the game to do it in. A possible way to do it is say (using example above) The AC of the monster is 40 for the 4e character but 32 for the 3.5 character.


Of course, than you get into the issue of how different HP is in 4e than 3.5. And that is just two different editions of D&D, let alone palladium and WFRP
